*SEDI of Northern Arizona- Project Lead         $63,000          2019, 2020,2021

    Received funding to address food insecurity and food access across rural northern Arizona through innovation, education, collaboration, and resource sharing. Organized the 2021 & 2022 NAZ Future Food Producers Summit.

*UCAIR- Pollution Reduction Grant- Project Lead       $20,000       Fall 2015

    Electric vehicle purchased for USU main campus: Vehicle will be used for campus events, hauling food waste to the composter, and student organic campus stand.    

USU Blue Goes Green Grant Grant Editor            $14,000            Spring 2016

    Sustainability Reinvigoration for the Quinney Library: turned a college’s library into a hub for sustainability and student research projects. Included energy and water efficiency measures, digital whiteboards for project collaboration, a used textbook library, and solar charging stations.

USU Blue Goes Green Grant– Grant Mentor            $13,000           Fall 2016

    Collaborated with USU Facilities Department and Gardner Engineering, Inc., to install 3 kWh of solar panels on a highly visible water pump. Included interactive signage for student interpretation.

*Arizona Community Foundation of Flagstaff – Project Lead    $30,200   2019,2020,2021

    Create a K-12 school curriculum for students to innovate & change their relationship with waste. Collaborate with many community groups to provide holistic and action-based education for students.

*ECOSS Community, Culture, & Environment Project Lead    $5,000     Spring 2018

    Created and implemented a pilot project to divert and reuse construction & demolition waste from the Cinder Lake Landfill in Flagstaff, AZ.

*USU Transportation Innovation Grant– Project Lead   $3,924       Fall 2015

    Mobile bike racks for USU events: Tracking usage, investigating potential locations, and implementing permanent bike structures.

*City of Flagstaff Sustainability Grant– Project Lead $3,850  Summer 2020 & 2021

    Purchased recycling bins for a school to create uniform recycling in Flagstaff. Implemented universal signage and infrastructure to improve recycling rates at schools.

USU Blue Goes Green Grant– Grant Mentor       $3,000                  Spring 2016

    Mobile Education Outreach Truck: Developed a partnership with the Nora Eccles Museum of Art and procured funding to install solar panels and battery systems on their education outreach box truck. Created lesson plans at the nexus of sustainability, energy, water, art, and climate science.

*City of Flagstaff Sustainability Grant Project Lead     $1,500          Summer 2019

    Purchase and create a reusable cup program for the community to reduce single-use plastic cups. Educate, incentive, and collaborate with the community to fully embrace waste reduction programs.

*USU Blue Goes Green Grant– Project Lead           $1,500                Spring 2015

    Reusable mug with a pledge to reuse gained matching funds and support of campus dining services to donate $0.06 for every drink refill on campus to sustainability and provides $2,000 annually to USU.
