As a sustainability specialist, I am interested in the intersection of social marketing, food systems, waste systems, the built environment, and community planning. My knowledge comes from years of experience, jobs, passion, grants, research projects, and coursework.

My current occupations are as an environmental educator and academic researcher. I work with the Complex Systems Informatics Laboratory at NAU under Ben Rudell Ph.D. This position provides me the opportunity to study supply chain resilience, food, energy, and water system mapping, linguistic analytics, and mapping local food.
Additionally, I have developed an innovative garbology curriculum for 4th-12th grade students over several years through funding from the Arizona Community Foundation of Flagstaff and support from several community organizations.
Lastly, I am the Principal Investigaor for the Northern Arizona Rural Foods Pathways Project through the Sustainable Communities Program at NAU. It’s goal is to assist food system development in northern Arizona through technical support, networking, event programming, grant writing & coordination, and marketing campaigns.
